How to take care of your garments
Proper care extends the life of your garments, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing environmental impact. Our Care Guide provides essential tips on how to care for your SEASICK items, ensuring they remain in pristine condition for as long as possible.
Microplastics
Washing textiles at home is often considered to be the cause of microplastics being released into the environment. It is estimated that between 700,000 and 6 million microplastic fibers can be released during a wash cycle with synthetic textiles. In this way, washing synthetic textiles can be responsible for up to 35% of the total annual microplastic release. (1)
We recommend washing and caring for SEASICK swimwear and other products made from synthetic fibers according to the instructions provided. Try to avoid machine washing and use hand washing instead. This not only helps to save water, but also prevents microplastics from being released, but if there is no other way, load the machine full and use a wash bag that can catch microfibers during washing so that they do not end up in our rivers and oceans, we recommend the wash bag from Guppyfriend.

Costs & Time
We ship our products worldwide 100% climate-neutral with DHL GOGREEN.
List of countries and the respective conditions:
- Germany Standard → free (3 - 5 working days)
- Germany (Express) → 7 EUR (1 - 2 working days)
- European Union → free (3 - 6 working days)
- International Standard → 12 EUR (3-6 working days)
The delivery times specified by us are the estimated delivery times of our shipping partners. In rare cases, your parcel may be delivered outside of these times. Delivery times may be longer on Sundays and public holidays.
Shipping to a DHL station
Your parcel can also be delivered to a DHL Packstation. Make sure that your address is complete in accordance with DHL guidelines.
Not at home upon delivery
If you are not at home when your parcel is delivered, in most cases your parcel will be handed over to your neighbors or will be ready for collection at a post office.If you do not collect the parcel there in time, the parcel will be sent back to us. Please note that in this case we will deduct the shipping costs and the return costs from your refund.
Orders can no longer be redirected by us once they have been dispatched, so please check the delivery address carefully before ordering.
Taxes and duties
If you order outside of Germany, import taxes, duties and fees may be levied by your destination country. Import duties and taxes as well as additional costs for customs clearance are levied by the respective import customs office and are borne by the recipient. For further information, please contact your local customs office.
RETURNS
How can I exchange my items?
In the event of an return, please send the ordered item back to our warehouse for a refund and then place a new order for the new item or size.

How can I return an order?
If you´re located in the European Union you can take your parcel to a shipping service provider yourself and send it back to us. You also have the option of receiving a returns slip from us. In this case, we will deduct EUR 5 from your refund.
In this case, send us an email to support@seasick.studio and we will be happy to send you a return label.
How can I return an order outside the European Union?
Guide for international returns (outside the European Union)
We want to make returning items as simple and smooth as possible. Please follow this guide carefully to avoid delays or issues, especially for international returns involving customs.
How to Prepare Your Return
Pack your items securely:
- Place the items in their original condition inside the package.
- Use the original packaging, if possible, to ensure protection during transit.
Include the Return Form:
- Fill out the return form and place it inside the package.
Attach Three Copies of the Invoice:
- Attach three copies of the invoice for the return and attach them to the outside of the package in a clear document pouch.
- Customs officials require these documents for processing.
Customs Declaration Form:
- Each item must be listed individually with the correct description, quantity, value and HS code. Use the information below as a reference:
- Value: Declare the original value of each item as listed on the inovoice
- Reason for Export: Always mark the package as "Returned goods - no commercial value" to avoid customs fees or delays.
Shipping Options:
- Use a reliable shipping service and retain proof of shipment for your records.
- Return shipping costs are the customers responsibility.
Why Correct Documentation Matters
Incorrectly filled customs documents can cause significant delays, additional fees, or the package being returned to the sender. Following this guide ensures that customs officials process your package without complications.
Important
Packages without three copies of the invoice or incomplete customs declarations may be delayed, returned, or destroyed by customs. We cannot be held responsible for such issues.
Q: What happens if my return is delayed or doesn’t arrive?
A: If your return doesn’t reach us, please contact our customer support team. While we cannot be held responsible for errors in customs documentation, we will work with you to find a solution.
Q: How do I find the correct HS codes?
A: HS codes for your products are listed on your invoice and can also be found in the "Return & Refund" section on our website.
Q: Do I need to pay customs fees for my return?
A: No, as long as the customs declaration clearly states "Returned goods – no commercial value," there should be no fees.
How long does the refund take?
As soon as we have received your return, we will process it within 10 working days and you will receive an e-mail notification as soon as we have completed the review of your return.
If the refund is authorised, you will usually receive your money back within 2 - 5 working days if the payment was made by credit/debit card.
If you paid with PayPal, you will receive your money back within one working day.
